1. Started carving about ten (10) years ago. This was after I went to
a decoy carving
show and saw the work that was done.
2. My other interests are my wife, our children and our six (6) grandsons.
3. For 35 years I worked for the Otis Elevator Co. in the Phila. and Atlantic
City
N.J. area.
4. I do not teach but I am willing to help a fellow carver when ever I
can.
5. I would rather help a carver when he or she needs help than be a mentor.
In this
way I get to work or help several carvers as they need it.
6. Our current carving community is full of very talented people; however
we need
to attract younger carvers to our hobby. I do not mean teenagers although
they
would be welcome but rather young adults who are looking for a way to
express
their art.
7. I do not have one particular type of tool I use but rather use any
tool that will help
me get that carving done. That is to say that on a lot of my work I will
use both
power and hand tools to work out the details.
8. When I need help or just want some advice I turn to Pat DeAngelis.
9. The only show I plan to attend but not compete in is our next SJWC's
show for
2006.
10. One can get in touch with me by calling 856-429-8311.
11. My tip is to join a carving club and ask questions.
12. I would be more then willing to give a demonstration at a club meeting.
